Concrete Concerto No. I

Concrete Concerto No. I, Video 16:9, 5:26 min, 2020

The fate of every building is its end. Its forms can appear in different ways. One of them – and the most spectacular – is demolition. Such demolitions are even staged as events with numerous spectators. It is the thrill that makes it so captivating. At the same time, we also see other forms in the media that lack this event character. These are explosions caused by bombings. The suffering and tragedy behind them are unimaginable. What, for some, is entertainment as an event, is, for others, bitter tragedy and death.

My film addresses this very tension between imagery and context in a media world where the boundaries often blur.
